Jesus Crying
This painting was completed in early 2020 during the Covid pandemic. When I was finished, I was very emotional all day.
The feeling that I felt is that Jesus was sad with evil in the world.
Jesus ON THE CROSS
This painting was completed in July, 2020.
When I went to paint in Jesus, I couldn't make a mistake as it would ruin the background of the painting. I prayed that Jesus would help me lay in his image and he did on the first try!
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
JESUS LION OF JUDAH
The picture of Jesus as a lion is more than a cool symbol. It gives us hope because Jesus is the conquering king. He is more powerful than sin and able to defeat death. If Jesus is our friend, then we don't have to fear either of those things.
Revelation 5:5 - Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and it's seven seals."
JESUS FOCUS ON ME
Storms are inevitable. Our anchor is immovable. If you don't understand who God is, the anchor doesn't work. During the storms in our life, turn to the Bible for comfort.
Matthew 6:25-27 - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
