The "before" image is the painting that I initially completed. I had been working on this for quite some time. I was prepping a new canvas while this painting was drying on the floor.  I was carrying my easel to the dining room and the new canvas fell on the painting and ripped a tear.  Initially, I was mortified in thinking that I worked so hard on this painting and that it was ruined and then I saw where the tear was located; I was amazed. Immediately, I felt as though God was telling me that I wasn't quite done yet so I built up the stormy part of the painting. The location of the tear is absolutely stunning to me and makes the painting "priceless."
